Silver Palace Glossary: Terms and Translations

The official English term for each system, the full fourteen-character name table, and the words that do not belong in a Silver Palace guide.

CBT2 data Updated 2 November 2026 · Launch values may differ

Short answer: use the official English names wherever they exist: Reactor, not element; Resonance, not reaction; Motives, not weapons; Mystery and Refine, not mods and upgrades; Identity, not class; Detective Board, not clue wall. The fourteen playable characters each have an official English name, rarity, Reactor, Identity and epithet. Words to avoid are a wrong city name, elemental reactions, class system and region level gates, because none of them describe this game.

Why does Silver Palace terminology matter?

Because most of the English vocabulary around this game is built from translations that were never official. Fans reading machine-translated articles meet "element", "class" and "weapon" before they meet Reactor, Identity and Motive, and the wrong words carry the wrong expectations. The official English channels have fixed a set of names, and using them is the quickest way to know whether a guide is actually about this game.

The rule on this site is simple: official English first, and where an English name has not been announced, say so rather than invent one. That applies to character epithets, banner names and district names alike.

Which terms describe the core systems?

The table below is the working vocabulary for the rest of the site. Chinese terms are included so you can match them against in-game text and Chinese-language coverage.

How do the fourteen characters map to Chinese names?

All fourteen playable characters have official English names. The Detective is a single entry covering both siblings, so the roster is fourteen rather than fifteen. Ashley, the assistant, is not playable and is not counted. Epithets are the official English titles attached to each character.

Which terms should you avoid?

Four phrases show up in almost every inaccurate Silver Palace article, and all four are wrong for this game. They are not stylistic preferences; each one describes a system the game does not have, or a name that does not exist.

  • The wrong city name — the game is Silver Palace and the city is Silvernia; no similar-sounding city name appears in official material.
  • Elemental reactions — there are seven Reactors, but they do not counter or react with one another. Team damage comes from Resonance and Tactical Assaults.
  • Class system — the game uses five Identities as role labels, not a playable class roster.
  • Region level gates — districts are not unlocked by player level. Claims with fixed level thresholds come from template articles.

Which names are still provisional?

Several useful names are not official yet. Rapport, the gift-driven bond track, has no published English name. The life-stamina pool is called the Idle Schedule in source coverage, but that is a working translation. United Mining Industry is an English data-site name that is not officially fixed. The Fableborne may be a faction or a fairy-tale classification. Most quarter names beyond Morgue Street are provisional translations too.

When a name is provisional, this site says so rather than pretending the gap does not exist. The character roster and the gacha guide use this vocabulary throughout.

Version note: terms and character data here reflect the CBT2 build and official English channels as of 2 November 2026. Translations, epithets and banner names may change at the 14 December 2026 launch, and launch values may differ. Last checked 2 November 2026.

Common questions

Is "Reactor" the same as an element?

No. Reactor is the attribute system, and the seven types do not counter each other. Resonance is the team mechanic that replaces reactions.

Should I say weapon or Motive?

Motive is the official English term for the weapon class. Weapon is understandable, but Motive is the name the game uses.

Why is the Detective counted once?

Hugin and Munin are two presentations of one roster entry, so the total is fourteen playable characters rather than fifteen.

Is every English name final?

No. Names marked provisional, including Rapport and the district labels, may be replaced in the launch localisation.
