What is Red Rose's petal loop?
Rose Petals are generated by two hits only: hit 3 gives 1 and hit 5 gives 2. Everything else in the loop is about reaching those two hits and converting them at the right moment. The string itself is Akimbo Overture, five hits from a pair of pistols.
Because the resource arrives on fixed hits, Red Rose rewards finishing strings rather than restarting them. A perfect dodge is the exception: it lets you skip straight to a Lv2 charged spin, and that spin is the highest listed value in the kit.
Which hits generate Rose Petals?
The damage curve climbs the whole way, so there is no trough to cut. That matters because a full string is worth finishing on its own; the petals are a bonus on top of the damage rather than the reason to attack. A Lv2 charged spin also returns 1 Rose Petal.
| Input | CBT2 Rose Petals | CBT2 damage |
|---|---|---|
| Hit 1 | — | 14.62% |
| Hit 2 | — | 18.96% |
| Hit 3 | 1 | 23.83% |
| Hit 4 | — | 32.49% |
| Hit 5 | 2 | 37.92% |
| Lv1 charged | — | 22.00% |
| Lv2 charged spin | 1 | 85.32% |
| Pursuit attack | — | 14.62% |
The CBT2 sheet publishes no Rose Petals cap and no spend cost for the skill or ultimate, so there is no documented reason to hoard petals. The petal count is a scoreboard, not a gate.
How hard is the Lv2 charged spin?
The Lv2 charged attack is a spinning heavy hit listed at 85.32%, more than twice the fifth basic hit, and it interrupts the target. Lv1 is the lower combo version at 22.00%. That gap of roughly four to one is the whole decision: a mistimed Lv1 is a real loss, and a landed Lv2 is the best single input in the kit.
The charged attack is also the only part of the kit the CBT2 sheet prices at this scale. There is no published ultimate percentage and no published skill percentage, so the spin is the number to build the rotation around. Do not assume hidden multipliers behind the other buttons.
Why is a perfect dodge the strongest input?
A perfect dodge lets the next basic attack fire the Lv2 charged spin immediately, and that spin interrupts. In one input you get full avoidance, the biggest number in the kit and a stagger window for the rest of the party. The normal route instead requires holding the charge through a vulnerable animation.
The catch is timing: the free spin exists only if the dodge was perfect. A normal dodge gives movement and a pursuit attack at 14.62%, not the Lv2. Learning the ring colours, as the combat guide lays them out, pays for itself on this character more than on most.
What does Combat Support mean for Red Rose?
The CBT2 role label is Combat Support on a 5★ Ignis Saviour. In practice the support comes from the interrupt and the mobility rather than from a published damage buff: the sheet does not give a team-wide percentage for Red Rose, so do not build around a number that has not been released.
What the sheet does support is uptime. She is described as a high-mobility raider, and her pursuit attack deals Ignis damage at 14.62%, which keeps pressure on between strings. A support that can also hold a target still earns its slot in a four-character party where only one character is active at a time; the team building page covers that structure.
Who is Red Rose in the story?
Red Rose is a dancer and an information broker, and the CBT2 material describes her as a double identity in the main story: a dance partner in one scene and a potential adversary in another. Her dialogue is deliberately indirect — questions, irony and fragments rather than statements — and she is one of the characters who ties the narrative to its central mystery. Her combat animation blends Spanish bullfighting and flamenco steps.
She also has the clearest public debut date in the roster. At Bilibili World 2026 on 10 July she became playable in an offline demo for the first time, after earlier tests used her only in story scenes. That demo closed with a boss fight against Cinderella.
When should you field Red Rose?
Red Rose is the other setup character in the roster, and her payout is gated by a defensive read rather than by a placed zone. Field her when the boss throws red-ring attacks you can dodge cleanly, or when the party needs something held in place.
| Your problem | Why Red Rose |
|---|---|
| Mobile boss with red-ring pressure | A perfect dodge converts defence into the 85.32% spin |
| Party needs a held target | The spin interrupts |
The slot is bought with interrupts and mobility, not with a heal or a published team buff, so do not draft her as the answer to a sustain problem.
Common questions
Do petals gate the Lv2 spin?
The CBT2 sheet lists petal gains and no cost for the charged attack, so petals are not a documented gate. They are generated by hits 3 and 5 and by the Lv2 spin itself.
When would you use Lv1 charged?
When you cannot commit to the spin. Lv1 is 22.00% against the Lv2's 85.32%, so it is a placeholder, not an alternative.
Does the free Lv2 need a red ring?
It needs a perfect dodge, which in practice means a red-ring attack you dodge cleanly. A normal dodge does not unlock it.
Is Red Rose a healer?
No. The CBT2 sheet lists no healing for the kit. The support label comes from interrupts and mobility, plus Ignis damage on the pursuit attack.
